AI INVESTIGATIONS
Ask why a workload is unhealthy. The agent reads the selected cluster and uses your saved notes to investigate.
Save notes about your services and environment for the agent to use. Each investigation uses the notes for the selected cluster.
Review workload health, query Prometheus metrics, or investigate Loki logs. Reports show the evidence and explain what data is missing or sampled.
Return to a saved investigation or run it again. Open its report in Claude, Codex, or Cursor to continue working alongside your source code.
Review workload health and recent warning events. Summarize what needs attention.
Example task · Requires an awake computer and a running local service.
SCHEDULED TASKS
Save a question as a task for a specific cluster. Choose when it runs and which timezone to use. Scope saves a report after each run.
You can also run a task whenever you need it. Each run has its own history entry, so you can review earlier findings.
Get ScopeAI investigations are read-only. Your chosen provider analyzes the evidence, and your desktop saves the task history. Before a manual resource change, Scope asks you to confirm the exact target.

The agent investigates the selected cluster using resource snapshots, events, and your saved notes. It can also analyze samples of logs or metrics. Ask a question, save a task to run when needed, or schedule a recurring report. Each report stays in your run history and lists its collection limits.
AI investigations are read-only. The agent cannot execute cluster commands or apply fixes.
Yes. Choose OpenAI, Anthropic, or an OpenAI-compatible API in AI Settings. You can also connect a ChatGPT account through a locally installed Codex CLI. You use your own provider credentials and account limits.
Without an AI provider, Scope runs fixed health checks labeled Local analysis. These checks do not use an AI model.
Your chosen provider receives your question, saved cluster notes, and a limited summary of relevant evidence. Log investigations can include samples of error messages with known credentials removed. Scope excludes Secret values, raw YAML, and full log streams from model requests.
Scope removes known credential patterns, but application text and saved notes can still contain sensitive information. The desktop app encrypts API keys with protection from your operating system.
Tasks need the local service to run on an awake computer. They cannot run while the computer sleeps. On macOS, closing the app window leaves the service running. Quitting the app stops it. On Windows, closing the window stops the app and service.
The app saves reports in your run history. External notifications and automatic setup on a remote computer are not available.
No. Each operation uses the connection you selected for it. Switching clusters does not change your global kubeconfig context. Investigations already in progress continue on their original cluster. Manual resource and Helm actions require you to confirm their target separately.
